4SIXTY8 is more than a new clothing brand, it's a brand that represents success. Our founder, Ileana Fickewirth, had 4 dollars and 68 cents in her bank account when she came to live in Los Angeles. Hustling for years, she built her career as a successful celebrity fitness trainer and life coach.
The Grind
While working hard to pull herself up from nothing, Ileana relied on a few simple truths:
1) Life is not fair. You don't get what you deserve. You only get what you negotiate, so keep going.
2) There are no free handouts and no riskless transactions.
3) There are thousands of people out there who built fortunes from nothing using hard work and creativity. Anyone can do it.
She kept pushing forward.
Others Joined Her
Working with tons of clients and even talking to strangers, she realized that she was not alone in her experience. Thousands of people out there started from the bottom and came up. Not everyone expects something for nothing and complains if it doesn't happen. There are those of us who are into trying, not crying. When we fall, we get back up and try again until it works.
She met countless successful entrepreneurs, athletes and artists who shared the common bond of starting from the bottom.
4SIXTY8 Was Born
Ileana was so inspired by everyone's stories about their success from nothing that she started a company. She called it 4 Dollars and 68 Cents Inc. The name commemorates the exact balance in her bank account when she was really broke.
Her company then released a premium clothing brand 4SIXTY8 to represent everyone who has the experience of being self-made and coming up from nothing.
